Children ages five to 11 in Ontario will be eligible to book a COVID-19 vaccine appointment starting Tuesday.
The province says appointments are expected to begin early Thursday, when supplies of the vaccine arrive at clinics across Ontario.
Booking starts from 8 AM on Tuesday through various channels.
These include provincial COVID-19 vaccination portals and contact centres, directly through public health units using their own booking systems, select participating pharmacies and primary care providers.
To book an appointment, children must be five years old by the end of 2021.
The provincial government says nearly one million children aged five to 11 are eligible to receive the pediatric Pfizer COVID-19 vaccine, which was approved by Health Canada last week.
