An optical illusion video stunned thousands – but can you figure out what’s going on?
Adeline, who shares “stunning, unusual and weird art” on her TikTok page, shared the optical illusion and caused some serious confusion to her followers.
The video shows what appears to be a portrait of a corridor – but as Adeline turns the camera around, the picture appears to be sinking into the table below.
It appears as though the art-lovers managed to create a magical 3D hallway while passing through the surface below – and no one knew how possible that was.
At the end of the video, however, Adeline showed that – instead of the drawing being drowned out in the table below, it was actually a 3D composition coming out. Outside of the table.
She called this phenomenon “reverse perspective.”
She explained: “I don’t know about you, but I’m fascinated by optical illusions. Today I was playing with something called Reverse Perspective and I made a little art gallery.
So many people wanted to create rooms with a contrasting perspective of their own, Adeline also provided a complete tutorial,
The video garnered four million views, and commenters were absolutely mindful.
One stunned commenter wrote: “I’m not okay with that.”
“It really scares me, I don’t know why”, wrote one stunned onlooker, while another added: “Oh no… my brain… it’s broken.”
“I almost threw up when you changed the angle completely”, added a third.
The fourth wrote: “My mind is aching because I see both at the same time.”
Even after Adeline expressed the confusion, commentators were still confused.
“My brain is switching every couple of seconds from seeing the illusion to breaking it down, it’s making me a little dizzy”, wrote one.
“I keep seeing it and ignore it”, said another.
