Osbourne recently gave her first live performance in three years during a surprise appearance at the closing ceremony of this year’s Commonwealth Games in Birmingham. After his performance – which he delivered with the aid of a back brace – Osbourne said in a new interview People That he has felt a renewed eagerness to return to the itinerant lifestyle.

“This is where I am,” he told the publication, noting that “my relationship with my audience is the greatest love affair of my life”. Addressing his recent health issues, Osbourne described his battle with Parkinson’s as “a nightmare”, adding: “That’s the only thing that reminds me I’m getting older: things. Going wrong and no longer working. But I still feel young at heart.”

Former Black Sabbath frontman announces he has no plans to retire anytime soon People that he is ,determined to get back on stage, even if I had to nail a board and get on the wheel”, because “survival is my legacy”.

Osbourne cited his performance of ‘Paranoid’ with Black Sabbath guitarist Tony Iommi at the Commonwealth Games as an example of his legacy coming full circle. “The games were a mile from the school where I was growing up,” he said, “and as we passed it, I thought, ‘If someone told me I’d be doing it. After so many years on the road, I’ve never believed him. I’ve had an incredible life with everything that’s happened to me – both the good and the bad.”

Osbourne publicly shared her Parkinson’s disease diagnosis in 2019, after keeping her Parkinson’s disease a secret for more than 15 years, following various health issues and the major surgery she needed to keep active. The most recent of them was performed back in July – an operation on his neck that was said to “determine the rest of his life.”

The surgery was successful, and Osbourne thanked fans for “their thoughts, prayers and well wishes” upon her discharge from the hospital. The following month, during an appearance at Comic-Con, Osbourne said that his recovery was a “slow climb”. Osbourne’s 13th solo album, Patient No. 9, was released last Friday (September 9) – a day after the opening of the NFL season.

In the four-star review of the album, NME Wrote: “At 73 years old and struggling with his health, you probably can’t expect Osbourne to hold that bar particularly high. But, for the most part, ‘Patient No. 9’ does just that – It’s a fascinating piece of hard-rock magic.”

Osbourne’s long-postponed farewell tour, ‘No More Tours 2’, is set to resume next year.
