“The tour is not coming back for the rest of this year”
Papa Roach frontman Jacoby Shadix has revealed that the band is holding off on releasing their next album, until the COVID-19 epidemic hits.
In a new interview with Germany’s Rock Antenn Radio, he said: “Touring is not coming back for the rest of this year. I mean, there will be some pop-up shows here and there, but we will have a new one by 2022 The album and the tour are not going to leave. We’re just gonna wait it out. “

Shaddix also reported that the band is focusing on new material during lockdown, with about 14 tracks written for the follow-up to the 2019 album ‘Who Do You Trust’.
“Now that we’re in the process, it’s February, and I’m like, ‘Okay. Maybe we’ll just record another record. So it’s, like, when we come out, we have music to leave. There will be just a ton of that and just be lined up to cut it for a while, ”he said.
“Because the creative process is integral to all our conscience. My bass player, Tobin [Esperance], He writes one or two songs a day – he just kicks them out, kicks them out. And I’ve got this little place that I’m in – this is my little place where I will display ideas and stuff. It is important for us to maintain some element of creativity so that we feel like we have a purpose. “
Following the update, Shaddix recently collaborated with TikTok star Jarris Johnson for a reloaded version of the band’s 2000 anthem ‘Last Resort’.
“It was amazing to hear that Jeris connected with the track in the same way that people around the world are,” Shadix said of the new version.
“The conversation of ‘Last Resort’ and its impact on all types of people has not stopped for 20 years, and we were reloading it for a new generation to keep that conversation going.”
Meanwhile, members of Shadix, Tommy Lee and Five Finger Death Punch are set to star in the new horror film Retaliatory.
