    Pen script to ‘Watchman’ writer for Marvel’s ‘Blade’ reboot

    Janitor Writer Stacey Osei-Kufour has been recruited by Marvel to pen the script for the studio’s upcoming The blade Reboot.

    The reboot will see Maharshala Ali following in the footsteps of Wesley Snape, who starred as Blade in the original trilogy of vampire hunter films between 1998 and 2004.

    The films also starred Chris Christofferson, Stephen Dorf, Sanaa Lathan, Jessica Beal, and Ryan Reynolds.

    Now, according to Hollywood reporter, The new film – which is yet to receive a release date – will be written by Osei-Kufour, who has also recently worked on Amazon Prime Video’s Al Pacino-starring series Hunter.

    The outlet also states that the title will be Blade, Vampire Slayer.

    In a recent interview, Ali says that she approached Marvel Studios about acting in the film Tight rope: “Since they were in talks about bringing it back, I just wanted to consider it because I definitely had a connection, at least in my mind, to Wesley Snape going back to high school .

    “People joke and say that we looked alike and all this stuff. Sometimes people try to do a little digging on you, they call me his character name. They call me shadow [Spike Lee jazz drama] Mo ‘better blues or whatever, right? “

    He Added: “I just brought it up as someone who really wanted to take that [Blade] Role and dealing with that. I love that it is deep. This is all in terms of tone. He was a bit darker than other people and so that element was attractive to me. “







    Upon the announcement of Ali’s casting in the reboot, Wesley Snaps teased fans about Ali’s casting for “Chillaxx” before sharing further thoughts on the news.
