He married Katia de Vidas in France last week
Pete Doherty married Katia de Vidas in France just two days after the pair’s engagement was confirmed.
Last Tuesday (September 28), Doherty’s publicist confirmed that Doherty and De Vidas, who are keyboardists in Doherty’s band Puta Madres, were planning to tie the knot.
The couple live together in Normandy, northern France, with photos of the couple emerging in March that show them walking in the seaside town of Etretat.
Just two days after the engagement was confirmed (September 30), Doherty and de Vidas married in Normandy in front of family and friends, as Sun Report.
Doherty’s Libertines bandmate Gary Powell also shared a photo from the wedding on Twitter, who wrote: “So happy for Peter and Katya!”

News of Doherty’s wedding comes after it was revealed to BBC Scotland Seven program last week that he was “cleared from heroin for two and a half years”.
“I’m doing fine, I guess,” she said. “I’m two and a half years clear of heroin, which is a big deal for me. And yes, I’m sticking with. I’m writing music, still writing music, yes.”
Last month Manic Street Preachers’ Nicky Wire recalled how a teenage Pete Doherty once wrote Granthshala To lend his support to the band after the disappearance of Richie Edwards in 1995.
“It was a really lovely letter, and it was along the lines of, ‘Just let them be who they are now, don’t expect them to be the frenzied they were,'” Wire recalled.
“We’ve crossed paths with him so many times, you know, and it always seems like he’s on the run from something.”
