‘I love this chandelier, it’s a custom chandelier with 150,000 pieces of crystal, going from a bronze finish to gold which is clearly my favorite color.
‘This sofa is clearly one of my favorite pieces of the house, and the leopard is my favorite animal that shows inspiration throughout the house.
‘It’s one of my favorite rooms in the entire house,’ says Sam.
So the first thing that strikes you when you enter this room is this magnificent crystal chandelier that is 150,000 Swarovski crystals.
‘Behind us you’ll see that we have a great bar that’s all custom built, and of course, panthers are seen all over the house here as well. There’s custom cabinetry throughout the room that gives this 1920s-era Gatsby feel throughout this type of vibe.
The journey goes on to explore the dining rooms, bedrooms and the ‘wellness level’.

Opposite is an island with a teppanyaki grill commonly seen in top restaurants. Petra helpfully explains that this is where ‘your cook can cook’, but adds that there’s also a second island for her to cook on – no, she admits, that’s what she does quite often .
‘Welcome to our formal dining room. A room we actually use a lot,’ quipped estate agent Sam.
We used it a lot during the lock down. We had fancy dinners here as a family, it’s the darker tones in this room but softened by the natural light and we’re in the garden.
‘Obviously the first time you walk into this room, the chandelier is the main showstopper. And there’s a lot of Petra elements in this room, coming from the glitter in the rug, which is then the elements of the table.
‘One of my favorite parts of this room as a design feature is actually how well we’ve hidden the radiators with this custom cabinetry that sits around the walls.’
The couple also explained that their ‘main family kitchen’ is where they eat ‘most of their meals’, which their kids love because they get to see an ‘amazing fish tank’.
‘It’s actually one of the rarest in the world,’ Sam explained, with as many as 64 types of fish in private residences up to five meters long.
