According to daily Mail, producer Kathleen Kennedy is looking to make “big” changes with the new film, which could star Waller-Bridge in the lead.


“It would be a huge statement, and a great role for Phoebe,” the publication reported.

The first image of Waller-Bridge on the set of Indiana Jones 5 Shared earlier this summer while the film was shooting in Glasgow.

“I’m thrilled to begin a new adventure, collaborating with a dream team of one of the greatest filmmakers of all time,” said director James Mangold when news of Waller-Bridge’s casting was first announced.

“I can’t help but feel myself as lucky as Indiana Jones when you bring Phoebe, a dazzling actor, brilliantly creative voice and chemistry to our sets undoubtedly.”

Discussion on last year’s film DisneyAt the U.S. Investor Day, Kennedy said it would be the “fifth and final” film in the series.


Originally, the film was scheduled to release in July 2019, and was later pushed back to July 10, 2020, and then to July 9, 2021. Indiana Jones 5 Now scheduled to release on July 29, 2022.
