PIERS MORGAN has found herself embroiled in an explosive Twitter feud with Nicki Minaj after she called out the star for “refusing to say hello” to her young sons.
The 38-year-old rapper insisted she had never met the British TV favorite, but footage from her performance on America’s Got Talent in 2011 when she was a judge proved her wrong.
The row began when Pierce called out Nicki for comments she made about the coronavirus vaccine, which was later slammed by Professor Chris Whitty.
He tweeted: “Professor Whitty beefing up with the awesome @NICKIMINAJ (one of the harshest little madams ever) isn’t the breaking news I expected today – but it’s most welcome. will go away.”
Nikki retweeted her message and promptly replied: “Sir, I’ve never met you. I know… we all look alike. ‘Sturdiest madam’. I love it. A special ring for it Is.
“Thanks Pierce. Love the accent. I’d love to come to chat. Scones. Tea. Clown nose and big red shoes for you. LMK babe”.
But Pierce had none of it, distributing the receipts, he replied: “Ma’am, we met on @AGT when you appeared as a guest – but you refused to say hello to my three little sons Gave up because you were ‘too busy’.
“Oh, and it’s ‘Pierce’ – I know, we Brit names all sound alike.”
Pierce is the father of three sons, Spencer, Stanley and Bertie, who will be aged 18, 14 and 10 when their paths cross with Nicky.
But the American star refused to back down and said angrily: “Stop lying. I never refuse to take pictures with kids. If someone in the middle told you that, they were out of line. Me. Don’t blame.
“Wait AGT? What’s All That? I Was On American Idol Joe TF”.
And in a strange turn of events, when a fan tweeted a video of Nicki performing with Flo Rida and David Guetta on AGT, she denied it was her — claiming: “That’s not me. “
It’s the latest in a long line of quirky social media posts from Nicki this week, with the star lashing out at Boris Johnson earlier today as he put on a fake English accent to address a voicenote to the PM.
It comes after claims he raved about a coronavirus vaccine as he addressed his absence from last night’s Met Gala, which was only for vaccinated guests.
