    Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB) gave some exciting hints at the recently held IPL auction. The Bangalore-based franchise now has six Australian players. Five of them played in the first T20I played between Australia and New Zealand at Hugle Oval, but none featured very impressive performances.

    Retired fast bowler Ken Richardson conceded 42 runs for his four wickets. Meanwhile, Adam Zampa finished the innings with a score of 0/20 in three overs. Glenn Maxwell bowled nine runs in the only over while RCB’s latest left-arm fast bowler Daniel Symes took two wickets in the 4-over spell against New Zealand.

    RCB trolled on Twitter after Josh Phillip and Glenn Maxwell failed to touch double digits

    In the second innings, RCB wicket-keeper Josh Phillip lost his wicket for two runs in his T20 debut. Glenn Maxwell, who received a bid of ₹ 14.25 crore from RCB in the 2021 IPL auction, was dismissed by scoring one run from just five balls.

    Since Royal Challengers have never won the IPL Trophy, fans had high expectations from the new players. However, many fans of RCB were disappointed by his performance in the Australia vs New Zealand T20I.

    Royal Challengers Bangalore invested Chall 15 crore to secure the services of Kyle Jamison in the 2021 IPL auction. Unfortunately, even Kiwi Pesar has not had a memorable day at Hugli Oval. He Threw one over, giving 12 runs to Mitchell Marsh and Marcus Stoinis.

    Australia and New Zealand will play five T20Is in this series. It will be interesting to see if RCB stars are able to return to form before IPL 2021.
