PnB Rock’s hit ‘Selfish’ tops Apple charts days after rapper’s murder

The 30-year-old Philadelphia native, whose real name is Rakim Hashim Allen, was shot by a robber at Rosco’s Chicken & Waffles in Los Angeles on Monday afternoon.

The musician’s label Atlantic Records released a statement Tuesday calling him “more than an artist.”

“To many, Rakim Allen was a great friend. He was also a wonderful father to two beautiful little girls,” Atlantik said.

“This news is heavy on our hearts and we are all hurt by this senseless loss. Our condolences and prayers are with his family at this difficult time.”
