Police are on the lookout for two women after a bottle of liquor was smashed on the head of another woman on the London Underground.
At around 12:30 on Thursday 17 June, the victim, who was traveling alone on the North Line on the Tube, was seated opposite the couple who had accused her of staring at them before attacking her.
The woman was shaken after the attack and suffered a deep wound on one side of her forehead.
British Transport Police released CCTV footage showing two women, one of whom is holding a bottle. Authorities believe the women in the images may have had information that could help with their investigation.
The two suspects were later seen alighting from the train at Golders Green Underground station.
A BTP spokesperson said: ‘The victim was on her way home for service when two women sitting opposite her accused her of staring at them.
“They then turned aggressive towards her, before one of the women approached the victim and hit her on the head with the bottle of liquor she was carrying.
“The victim’s attack resulted in a deep wound on the side of her forehead.
“Two women got off the tube at Golders Green Underground station.
“The authorities believe that the CCTV images may contain information that could aid in their investigation.”
