The British royal hosted a private reception at Kensington Palace on Tuesday for donors who helped fund the statue of Princess Diana, which was unveiled on her 60th birthday, Hello! magazine informed of.

On July 1, the brothers put their differences aside and joined Diana’s three siblings in a private ceremony at Sunken Gardens at Kensington Palace in London, where the princess was once comforted. It was the second time the brothers have appeared in public together after the 37-year-old Harry split from royal duties a year earlier.

The statue, which shows Diana surrounded by three children, was commissioned by the brothers in 2017.

“Today, on what would have been our mother’s 60th birthday, we remember her love, strength and character – qualities that made her a force to be reckoned with across the world, changing countless lives for the better,” William, 39, and Harry said in a joint statement at the time. “Every day, we wish she was still with us, and our hope is that this statue will always be seen as a symbol of her life and her legacy.”

Due to the COVID-19 restrictions, the unveiling was a small event attended only by close family members. More contributors were allowed to attend the Kensington Palace reception.
