Kylian Mbappe and Lionel Messi both netted twice as PSG beat Club Brugge 4-1 at the Parc des Princes on Tuesday to enter the knockout stages of the Champions League.
The reverse fixture ended 1–1 in September, but it never seemed like an even contest, with the hosts switching styles in front of their home fans.
Mbappe struck twice in the opening seven minutes, and Lionel Messi produced a trademark finish from the edge of the field to give Mauricio Pochettino’s men a three-goal advantage at half-time.
Matt Ritts pulled back a goal for the visitors after the hiatus, before Messi converted the penalty to last-place Brugge in the group, meaning they would not play European football after Christmas.
