Quebec is reporting 1,171 new cases of COVID-19 on Saturday and three additional deaths linked to the virus.
The latest figures mark the second day in a row that the province reports more than 1,000 new infections and the highest number of new daily cases since April.

The number of hospitalizations linked to COVID-19 dropped to 205 from a day earlier, while the number of people in intensive care increased from five to 48, the health department says.
Officials say 31,835 COVID-19 tests were analyzed on Friday, with a positivity rate of 3.4 per cent.

Health officials say 23,482 doses of the vaccine were given on Friday, including 14,000 of the first doses given to children between the ages of five and 11.
Officials say 84 percent of Quebecers five and over have now received at least one dose of the vaccine, including five percent of children ages five to 11.
