Real Madrid are confident of landing Paul Pogba on a free transfer next summer.
The Manchester United midfielder’s deal at Old Trafford is set to expire at the end of this season.
And reports from Spain say Real Madrid believe they can finally tempt the Bernabeu after tracking the 28-year-old for several years.
They also expect Paris Saint-Germain to field their France international teammate Kylian Mbappe.
And he believes it would help to strike a deal for the young forward if he knows he can play with Pogba.
Speaking about his position at PSG earlier this month, Mbappe revealed RMC Sport: “I asked to leave, because from the moment I didn’t want to expand [my contract], I wanted the club to get a transfer fee so they could bring in a quality replacement.
“This club has given me a lot, I’ve always been happy – I’ve been here for four years – and I still am.
“I said it long ago so the club can react.

“I wanted everyone to come out of this strong position, that we go hand in hand to strike a good deal and I respect that.
“I said, if you don’t want me to go, I’ll stay.”

He hoped he could be persuaded to stay with the arrival of his international friend Rafael Varane and superstar Cristiano Ronaldo.
Pogba, however, has instead kept his options open and insisted he will decide his future over the summer.
His former club Juventus may also be interested in taking him back to Turin if he is a free transfer.
