Real Madrid will sell Rafael Varane for around £52million with the French defender linked to Manchester United this summer.

Ole Gunnar Solskjaer and United now know the asking price for Real Madrid’s Frenchman
Varane is currently with France ahead of Euro 2020, a tournament in which the defending world champions enter as favourites.
United manager Ole Gunnar Solskjaer is targeting a centre-half signing this summer to partner with captain Harry Maguire as the Old Trafford club looks to challenge Manchester City for the Premier League title last season.
Maguire’s absence with an ankle injury in the final games of the campaign, which included Villarreal’s final UEFA Europa League defeat, highlighted how the squad’s other defenders have not lived up to his standard.
Signing a proven winner like Varane would certainly be the solution. His 360 appearances for Real in more than 10 seasons has seen four Champions League victories as well as three Spanish league titles.

Indeed, Real will have to sell this year to make sure they still get full market value for their major player and avoid losing it next year.
Varane played 41 matches in all competitions for Real last season but it proved to be a disappointing campaign as they finished second in LaLiga behind Atletico Madrid and were knocked out of the Champions League by Chelsea in the semi-finals.
