Ridley Scott Blames Millennials With “Fucking Cell Phones” for the Disappointing Box Office Earnings of His Latest Film final duel,

Filmmaker, who also recently directed the medieval epic house of guccicommented on the fact that the former took in $27 million at the global box office, after being made on a $100 million budget.

“Disney did a great promotional job,” Scott tells Marc Maron about himself wtf podcast, “The owners liked the movie because I was worried it wasn’t for them.”

He continued: “I guess what it is – what have we got today” [are] Viewers who were brought up on these fucking cell phones. millennium, [who] Nothing wants to be taught unless you’ve told it over a cell phone.

“It’s a broad stroke, but I think we’re dealing with it with Facebook right now. I think it’s a wrong direction to give this latest generation the wrong kind of trust.”

Defending his decision to take on the project, the filmmaker continued: “That’s the call you make. That’s the call Fox made. We all thought it was a great script. And we made it.” You can’t win all the time.

“I’ve never regretted any of my films so far. Nothing. I learned to be your own critic long ago. The only thing you should really have an opinion on is that you just did What have you done. Walk away. Make sure you’re happy. And don’t look back. That’s me.”
