‘Rival gang’ gloat in vid hours after rapper Einar shot dead in turf war

Rivals of the gang have posted videos online that apparently show moments after teenage rapper Einar was gunned down in an execution-style murder.

The disturbing clip shows two masked men mocking Einar with their own music, including a song about a shooting victim “thrown on the ground” like an e-scooter.

Chart-topping gangster rapper – real name Nils Grönberg, 19 – was detonated at point-blank range In Hammarby Sjostedt, an upmarket suburb of Stockholm.


Police said he was shot several times in the head and chest outside his apartment building shortly before 11 pm last night.

The video was geo-tagged in Hammarby Sjostad district, but it is not clear whether the two men are linked to the murder. Swedish news site Samnytt. report of.

Police said they are looking for two suspects and the motive is unknown.

Einar, whose rap music is known for glorifying gang violence, is the most streamed artist on Spotify in Sweden.

She was kidnapped last year by rival rappers who posted outrageous footage of her online – which some at the time claimed was a PR stunt.

After his ordeal he told followers on Instagram: “Everyone can be kidnapped, everyone can be beaten.

“I feel good, I’m alive and no one can do what I do, so as long as I’m on my feet, I’ll keep doing what I do.”

‘The price on his head’

Rappers Yasin Bin and Haval Khalil were among many who were given prison sentences for their roles in the kidnapping.

Appeals against those decisions are currently being heard by judges and are expected to last until December.

According to public broadcaster Sveriges Radio, Einar was called next week to testify in the ongoing case.

Einar was also called to testify at the original trial, but never showed up.

The Daily Aftenbladet said that Einar was living with a “price on its head” after several threats against him that had risen recently.

He himself was one of several suspects arrested earlier this month for stabbing a restaurant in central Stockholm.

Recently he was seen hanging out and partying with the gang members.


The rapper made his debut at the age of 16 and has released four albums reveling in a life of crime, including drugs and guns.

In 2019 his breakthrough single Katen i Trakten (The Cat in the Area) reached number one on the Swedish Singles Chart.

He had millions of streams on music platforms and won several Swedish Grammys as well as other awards.

Music producer Trobie said in a tribute: “Einer was a real brother to me and I will miss him dearly.

“We just released our first record last week and it feels so weird because I only talked to him the day before.”

Prime Minister Stefan Löfven said: “A young life has come to an end, and I understand that he means a lot to many young people. It is sad.”

Equality Minister Marta Stanavi said: “Another young man has been the victim of deadly violence.

“Behind every headline is a family that has lost a child. I am thinking of all those who have lost a relative today.”

Gang turf wars have meant Sweden – with a population of just 10.3 million – now has one of the highest rates of gun crime in Europe.

So far this year, 40 people have been killed in 273 shootings and in 2020 47 people have been killed.
