Robinhood has a waiting list for customers interested in testing the new feature
Robinhood announced on Wednesday that it is launching a crypto wallet feature in its app to give customers greater ease of trading digital currencies.
From next month, the company said blog post, a small group of Robinhood clients will begin testing the wallets in a trial run and there is a waiting list for those who want to try it out for themselves as access grows.

“With the wallet, you will be able to transfer crypto so you can use $ETH to buy the NFTs you are eyeing, use #Bitcoin to buy some coffee, DOGE to a friend Send, or transfer supported crypto from your own wallet to your Robinhood Crypto account for commission-free trading,” Robinhood Crypto COO Christine Brown explained in a tweet.
Both the company and Brown indicated that the new crypto wallet comes after countless requests from customers who have been requesting for the feature.
“What took us so long?” Brown added. “We want to make sure that transferring crypto on Robinhood is safe, secure and simple. Many people will be transacting on-chain for the first time and keeping your coins safe is our #1 priority.”

The COO noted that as of Wednesday, Robinhood customers now have the option of setting up recurring crypto investments, which offer the ability to buy coins — or fractions of them — at a time without paying any commission fees.
