From now on in a new event running through January 3, 2022, players will be able to get their hands on a new version of the classic.party hat“, an item that was initially only available during Christmas events in 2001. Originally available in red, yellow, green, blue, purple, or white, runescape The quest “The Golden Party Hat Hunt” will allow players to unlock one of the highly sought-after cosmetics in the metallic luster.
Since Partyhats were originally only available in limited numbers for a short time and have since been discontinued, any player is lucky enough to be able to sell them for billions of in-game coins. Even though the caps are purely decorative and offer no stat bonus, they are currently the most expensive item on the Grand Exchange, reaching a maximum price of 2.1 billion gold in 2015.
To try their hand at the Golden Party Hat, players must complete “various objectives” and earn eight Golden Sharks for their efforts. Once all eight are collected, they can be combined into a Golden Party Hat. However, not only is the event time limited, but only one Golden Hat can be drawn per player. Like their 2001 predecessors, Jagex says of the golden caps that “after the cut-off date, they will never be available to earn again!”
Whether the new item disrupts the in-game economy and reduces the value of existing partyhats or becomes a new and even more premium item remains to be seen. Jagex will mark the occasion similarly, however, turning the in-game Grand Exchange location into “a golden party hat winter wonderland.”
The golden cap is for the crown addition (sorry) runescape Year-long 20th anniversary celebrations. Launching with the returning PartyHat event, the fourth and final part of the anniversary quest, Once upon a time, going on throughout the year.
suitable title the end, the chapter is described as “the conclusion of an adventure that explores Runescape’s past, present, and future and brings the story arc closer to the quest’s adversary, Railomia.”
the end Players will see three locations – the Black Knights Fortress, the World Gate, and the island of Kami-shima – that could offer glimpses of a possible future. Completing the chapter earns players “four Quest points, a new T5 magic dice, unlocked the final reward track from May’s Quest Point Caravan, a medium XP lamp, Relomia’s Shadow Rip Home teleport cosmetic override, two Treasure Hunter keys” and ” will be rewarded with a”. More surprises to be discovered”.
