SEX And the City star Willie Garson’s 20-year-old son Nathan shared a throwback clip of him dancing after the late actor’s tragic death.

In light of his grief, 20-year-old Nathan took to Instagram to pay tribute to his late father and recalled the good times he had with him.
In the video, father and son dance together in a club to Candy Staten’s 1976 hit Young Hearts Run Free.
And as they were dancing, a voice could be heard above the music: “This is what Willie brought up his son, good job dad!”
Captioning the heartfelt video, Nathan wrote: “Missing you papa.
“Love you to the moon and back x1,000,000,000 ️❤️ I’m sure your dancing and music you’ve been listening to on your adventure.
“Have a blast.”
After sharing the post, Modern Family actress Julia Bowen commented: “It makes me smile and cry all at once. It’s great to see her dance!”
Actress Tiffany Thiessen wrote: “️❤️❤️ moaning like crazy she is.”

Nathan’s tribute comes after it was revealed that Willie had praised his son in an interview a year before his passing.
In an interview in October 2020, Willie opened up about his love for his adopted 20-year-old son and joked about caring for him in his old age.
They told page six: “He’s an adult and is going to take care of me soon. That’s why I told him to be honest.
“He’s cute and a really special guy. He’s amazing and he’s in college in Ohio.”
Willie also talked about longing for a child for several years before adopting Nathan in 2009.
He explained: “I had a long relationship for 20 years, and she never wanted a child, which is fine.
“And it was like my mid-life crisis. Like, I really wanted a baby more than anything else. And I got one and we’re partners, my baby and me.”
Nathan took to Instagram to pay tribute to his famous father after he passed away.
The student wrote: “I love you so much Papa. Rest in peace and I am so glad that you shared all your adventures with me and were able to achieve so much.
“I’m so proud of you. I’ll always love you, but I think it’s time for you to go on your own adventure.
“You will always be with me. You are loved more than I know and I am glad you can live in peace now.”
He continued: “You were always the toughest and funniest and smartest person I know. I’m glad you shared that you are [sic] love with me. I’ll never forget it or lose it.”
Following the news of his death, Willie’s SATC Colleagues paid tribute To star on social media.
Cynthia Nixon, 55, who plays Miranda Hobbes on the show, was one of the first cast members to pay tribute to Willie.
Cynthia shared a photo of herself with Willie at a party with a heartfelt message that read: “So deep, deeply sad we’ve lost @Willie. Gerson. We all loved and with him loved to work.
“He was endlessly funny on-screen and in real life. He was a source of light, friendship and business lore. He was a consummate professional – always.
“My heart goes out to his son, @Nathen_Garson. Nathan, I hope you know how much he loved you and how proud he was to be your father.”
Kim Cattrall, who played Samantha Jones on the HBO series, wrote: “Such sad news and a very sad loss for the SATC family. Our condolences and RIP dear Willie XO”
Mario Cantone, who plays Anthony Maranthino in the show, also shared a sweet message on social media.
Mario wrote: “I couldn’t have had a more wonderful TV partner. I’m devastated and just overwhelmed with sadness. We all got carried away too soon. You were a gift from the gods dear Willie. Relax.” … I love you .”
Sarah Jessica Parker captioned a series of photos of friends: “It’s been unbearable. Sometimes the silence is a statement. Of gravity. The agony. The horrors of the loss of a 30+ year friendship.
“A genuine friendship that permeates mystery, adventure, a shared professional family, truthfulness, concerts, road trips, meals, late night phone calls, a mutual devotion to parenthood and, with all the heartache and joy, wins, Frustration, fear, anger and years spent on set (especially in Carrie’s apartment) and laughing late into the night as both Stanford and Carrie and Willie and SJ.
“Willie. I’ll miss everything about you. And relive our last moments together. I’ll re-read every lesson of your last days and pen our last calls. Your absence is a pit I’m in.” I will fill you with the blessings of memories and all those who are still in the groove are yet to come to the fore.”

Wiley starred on SATC in 27 episodes over six seasons from 1998 until its series finale in 2004.
His character Stanford Blatch was a close friend of Carrie Bradshaw (Sarah Jessica Parker) who often struggled to overcome the insecurities surrounding dating in the big city.
As well as the TV show, Willie also appeared in the first Sex and the City feature film in 2008 and its sequel, Sex and the City 2 in 2010.
