The police said the suspicious package caused a ‘peculiar smell’
Authorities said a woman in Seattle found more than bargaining over buying a crotchet kit at a store at one time and searching for one kilogram of cocaine.
The Seattle Police Department said in a news release that the woman purchased a kit to keep animal hats in the city’s Greenwood neighborhood around 3 a.m. Sunday afternoon.
This is very low for SUSPECTED fentanyl mills.
But when the croquet hobbyist opened the kit, he found a suspicious package, encased in yellow rubber with “100%” written on the outside. Police said the item also gave a “strange smell”.
The woman immediately called police, who seized the suspect’s package and later confirmed that it contained a kilogram, or 2.2 pounds, of cocaine.
Police did not reveal how the crotchet kit and the substance were consumed.
A similar incident occurred in Arizona on Sunday when parents bought their child a toy glow worm at a toy store and inside it found a sandwich bag containing 5,000 pills of suspected fanatics.
According to the Phoenix Police Department, the parents called the officers and handed the drugs to the officers.
Authorities warned buyers to “inspect all opened and used items” before purchasing.
