The Senate’s plan to vote on confirmation of Homeland Security Secretary Nominee Alejandro Mayorkas on Monday was scrapped after parts of Washington, DC fell more than 2 inches of snow on Sunday.

The Senate was scheduled to go into executive session on Monday to consider nomination before the Senate Homeland Security Committee voted to advance Mayorace’s nomination at 7-4pm in late January.
