A woman has been arrested on suspicion of murder after a “shy” five-year-old girl was found dead yesterday.
The man’s body was found in the top-floor flat of an address on Leebourne Avenue in Ealing around 1 p.m. Tuesday.
When they found the “cute” little girl, the police were called home to conduct a welfare check.
He was tragically declared brought dead at the scene.
A 31-year-old woman was arrested and taken into custody from a West London property on suspicion of murder.
A neighbor of the family said: “I’m so surprised because she was such a sweet little girl. She was shy and didn’t always answer me.
“Her mother never cross worded with her daughter and always spoke to her in a friendly manner,” the woman continued.
“She always dressed well and took care of what I could see.”
The force said that the youth’s family has been informed about his death and a post-mortem will be conducted now.
Another resident told the Evening Standard that they were “devastated” by the death of a “pretty little princess”.
“She was the perfect baby, just lovely. I would hug her when I saw her.
“She lived with her mom and dad who I believe is a delivery driver. She was happy, always smiling – we’re devastated.
“When we overheard my wife and I both said ‘Please don’t let this be that beautiful little girl’. She was a beautiful little princess.”
Police said the woman and the girl knew each other.
The investigation is now being led by a homicide detective from the Met Specialist Crime Command.
A Met Police spokesman said: “Following the death of a five-year-old girl, a murder investigation has been launched in Ealing.
“Police were called at 12.56 pm on Tuesday following concerns for the welfare of the occupants of a residential address on Leeborn Avenue.
Officers and the London Ambulance Service attended. Despite their efforts, a five-year-old girl was pronounced dead at the scene.
“His family members have been informed. The post-mortem will be done at an appropriate time.”
