Earlier this month, resource found Started a 13,500 meter drill campaign on his own land in the Kathleen Valley in Western Australia.

The idea is to build on an initial, small-scale resource that has already been established and move the project on to bigger and better things.

The company is certainly in the right place to do so. “We are in world-class gold mining,” says chief technical officer Neil Hutchison.

The initial exploration target that Found put up between 145,000 and 250,000 ounces of gold on its Kathleen Valley grounds is already well up from 21,000 ounces.

The planned promotion of the resource will have a dual significance.

What may be of even greater importance, however, is with the strike from Bellevue Gold Limited’s flagship development project, and right next door to Bellevue’s Government Well project.

The discovery of high-grade gold in these projects made Bellevue a billion dollar company, and Milla is right next door.

The original sellers of land for Mila identified exactly what land could and should be judged, and what should be left alone – and a closer look at a map of Mila claims would show a zig-zag shape on the eastern border. , which allows plenty of space to leave the local Aboriginal sites in peace.

Neil Hutchison is right in front of it all.

After working next door at the Cosmos project, he is not only back in the district, but he is also very well connected to the local community. This has a huge advantage when working with traditional owners and close to heritage areas outside of the tenement area.

The discovery of high-grade gold at a nearby miner is raising hopes for Milao.

At some point, Bellevue will begin to think about the size of the open pit he wants to build into Government Well, and only then it may become clear that Milla’s ground will be a necessary part of the surface’s articulation.

Time will tell. For now, Mila is going to focus for herself on the value of her Kathleen Valley Gold.

The results of drilling carried out in 2019 and 2020 by sellers of the Kathleen Valley property have allowed for the modeling of the JORC exploration target.

Three phases of further drilling are now planned and budgeted for, designed to extend the mineralization along the northward, deeper and strike.

‘However, we’re not taking the risk of stepping too far,’ says Hutchison.

‘The main thing for us is that as we go deeper, the grades go up. We can see the shear zone and sulfide. It is quite predictable.

And in that regard, he also cited the Bellevue project next door, which has a global resource of 3 million ounces at 9.9 grams per ton of gold.

Mila’s project has returned 14 grams per ton of gold between its deep intercepts, demonstrating its potential to host high-grade gold mineralization.

“We have 11,000 meters of drilling to be completed,” says Hutchison.

‘And we have also budgeted 2,400m on another possibility on the same tenement, where hopefully we can get another deposit.’

But it is the current discovery that will remain the focus for some time, as Mila has established herself as a ‘post-discovery project accelerator’.

At the moment, the plan is not to go into production.

Why? Because if Bellevue ultimately isn’t interested in Mila’s Kathleen Valley property, there are at least five other companies in the area that might.

Take a look at this one.
