‘Squid Game’ actor Lee Jung-jae addresses potential return for season 2

squid game Actor Lee Jung-jae has addressed the prospect of a second season after Netflix’s biggest series ever launched.

The series has topped Netflix’s TV charts in 94 countries since its September 17 launch. Despite its tremendous success, a second season is yet to be announced.

talking to Entertainment Weekly, Lee Jung-jae, who plays Seong Gi-hyun, the main protagonist in the series, was asked if he wanted to return for a follow-up.

“Cause I’ve got so much love and support [viewers]’Of course I’ll have to play with him again if there’s a second season,’ Lee said. “But at this point I don’t know anything about how the story will turn out, or how the characters are going to change, or whether there’s going to be any new characters added to the series.

“I just don’t know anything. And I don’t even know if Gi-hyun has a role [will] Still be like the main role or a minor role in the side. But whatever is going to happen, of course I have to say yes.”

The actor also discussed which Fatal Games were the most difficult to shoot, and in addition to the final fight which he found “emotionally difficult”, he highlighted the challenge of Hive.

“Of the games, I would choose Dalgona or Honeycomb because I had to express with very little speed,” Lee said. “I couldn’t exaggerate my movement, whereas I had to express the increase in tension as time went on. It was really difficult.”

In the final scene of season one, Gi-hyun, after winning the game and receiving a huge cash prize, decides not to board a plane to be with his daughter – because he wants to stop the people who orchestrate it. We do squid game Evermore.

Show creator Hwang Dong-hyuk has discussed possible ideas for a sequel, including a focus on The Front Man who oversees games in the first season.

Cast member Wai Ha-joon, who plays police detective Joon Ho on the show, has also addressed the possibility of a follow-up, stating that he looks forward to a return.
