The pair, who played Obi-Wan and Anakin respectively in the franchise’s prequel trilogy, will return to their roles for the upcoming Disney+ series. Obi-Wan Kenobic,
Lucasfilm boss Kathleen Kennedy spoke about the experience of filming the new project with veteran actors, calling the shooting “emotional.”
“What was most exciting was being on the set and seeing the two Them Get excited,” Kennedy told Empire,
She continued: “They hadn’t seen each other in a long time. What surprised me was how incredibly emotional it was for each of them to find themselves back in these roles, and to realize just how important star wars was for each of them. It was the beginning of his career.”

Ewan McGregor recently described the upcoming show as “much more real” than the franchise’s film prequel.
The actor went on to criticize George Lucas for making him too CGI-based: “[Lucas] We wanted as much control over what we see in the background.
“After three or four months of that, it gets really exhausting — especially when there are scenes … I don’t want to be harsh, but it’s not Shakespeare. There’s nothing to dig into the dialogue that will satisfy you.” When there is no atmosphere there. It was very difficult to do.”
