Carol was holding a guide dog as part of her outdoor broadcast from a garden dedicated to animals in Chelsea, west London.

But after a particularly strong yank on the lead, she flew to the front, with only her legs shown on the video link-up picture.

Dan was heard roaring with laughter as his white trainers showed up with his flat-out on deck, saying: “We’ve got a Kirkwood.

“We’ve got a Kirkwood. Somebody save Carol.”

Then, when she came back in the picture the 44-year-old star asked: “Are you okay? I think she must have lost a shoe.”

Carol, who struggled back on screen, replied: “Yeah. She’s a very strong girl, Flash.”

The 59-year-old BBC meteorologist was broadcasting the weather from the Royal Hospital ahead of the Chelsea Flower Show yesterday.

The Flash has a history of causing trouble on BBC Breakfast, with Carol revealing: “Now, she is a friend of the programme.

“She was actually at the event on April 28 with her trainer Mel, and when she was only 18 weeks old, she took a little nibble from Mel’s hand.”

Meanwhile, Dan is throwing himself into Strictly Come Dancing, rehearsing for hosting BBC Breakfast from Salford, Greater Manchester.

He revealed on Friday that he suffered a horrific accident after hitting a glass door while running to collect his wallet.

Sharing a selfie from his hospital dash, the BBC Breakfast favorite revealed he was taken after feeling “woozy”.

Wearing his protective face mask, Dan can be seen attached to a monitor, checking his vitals as he posed with an emergency department consultant in the second photo.

He explained in the post’s caption: “A little head-based drama today! Was sent to A&E today because I was stuttering a bit after hitting my noggin on the big glass window yesterday.”
