SZA joins Kali Uchis on new version of ‘Fue Mejor’

Kali Uchis has shared a new version of their track ‘Few Major’ featuring SZA – check out the duo’s video for the track below.

The original song appeared on Uchis’ recent album ‘Sin Mido (Del Amor y Otros Demonios)’, which came out last November, and the new version features a fresh verse from SZA, who sings in Spanish for the first time.

“It’s Latin R&B, it’s SZA singing in Spanish for the first time, it’s scary season, it’s the moment,” Yuchis said in a statement.

Reviewing Kali Uchis’ “Without Fear (Without Love and Other Demons)” upon its release last year, Granthshala wrote: “Whether you’ve spent the past few months bothering to remember basic Spanish by Cartoon Owl or you’re just perfectly fluent, Yuchis’ second album – and his first full Spanish release – is more proof, if you need it. that language barriers need not restrict our enjoyment of music.”

SZA, meanwhile, is sharing some new songs in 2021. Last month, she surprisingly released three new songs to an unnamed SoundCloud page. She confirmed – ‘Nightbird’, ‘I hate you’ and ‘Jonny’ – were her work by tweeting links to the page, saying she was “dumping random thoughts”.

Before the new material was released, SZA joked that she was “probably going to scrap everyone”.
