Consisting of Korda, Karoline Lampert, Lena Boquist and amateur Alexandra O’Laughlin, her team finished just ahead of Sofia Popov and her team to claim the opening Topic.

The two teams were pulled out of a nerve-wracking playoff after drawing a total of 41 under par.

And under floodlights at the Glen Oaks Club, New York, that was enough for Korda on the 17th hole against Popov to clinch an equal title – her second LET title, and the first for Lampert and Boquist.

“It was nice to be able to share this with the team,” Korda said Later.

“It’s such an individual sport and the fact that you are able to win as a team, it was a great experience and we had a lot of fun, being able to pick a player and then we have a great addition. Today we really came together, and it was one of our best days. The front nine were tough but the last six holes were great.”

“I was playing well the first few days, but today I really kept at it. There were tough conditions, so it’s probably one of the best tours I’ve played. I was very proud of myself and with it Finished. A birdie. I’m very happy,” said Hull.
