Sen. Ted Cruz, R-Texas, while expanding the ‘caravan’ of migrant facilities and crowds of migrants arriving in the United States, joined ‘Hannity’ on Tuesday to discuss their recent trip to the southern border.

Sen. TED CRUZ: Last Thursday and Friday I brought a group of 19 senators from Texas to the border in the Rio Grande Valley. We started the journey on Thursday night, joining the Border Patrol agents for the 10 o’clock in the night. We all gave him a chance to say ‘Thank you’, especially at a time when he is not getting the support of his political superiors, I think it was important for him to know that we love him and we are thankful to him They show bravery every day.

We then joined their midnight patrol. We went outside, we encountered caravans of illegal migrants. Walking on footpaths, coming north from the Rio Grande River. We saw young children walking, some of them walking alone. We saw young mothers, some of them carrying infants and taking them to nursing. And they all went to the first processing facility, which CBP has set up. It is outside, it is under a highway bridge, and consists of a series of outdoor pens, where children and mothers are just sitting or lying on the floor. They are processed, and they are sent through.

The next day we went to where they were sent, which is the Donna facility. Donna is this massive tent city, it is massive. It was designed to hold 1,000 people, but with the COVID restriction, this capacity is only 250. When we visited the Donna facility, there were over 4,000 people in succession. These are Biden cages.
