Musician celebrates Rittenhouse’s acquittal on self-defense grounds
Ted Nugent has said that those who oppose Kyle Rittenhouse’s verdict not guilty are “on the side of evil”.
The American musician, who is a vocal proponent of gun ownership, claimed that “good over evil” prevailed when a jury last month found two men fatally shot and another at a 2020 racial justice protest in Kenosha, Wisconsin. The 18-year-old was acquitted for injuring him. ,
Rittenhouse had argued that he acted in self-defense. He claimed that he was in the city armed with an AR-style semiautomatic rifle to protect property and provide medical aid amid the unrest.
Nugent shared a post on Monday (Nov. 29) after its Thanksgiving YouTube livestream in which it praised the test results.
“Now is the time to adapt gratitude to this unique, wonderful, one-of-a-kind American dream, one where good overcomes evil, where good overcomes evil and ugly. The ultimate example of this is what Kyle Rittenhouse wrote in The Complete Implemented self-defense, executed ” [quotes transcribed by Blabbermouth],
“If you’re up against Kyle Rittenhouse, you’re on the side of evil,” he continued. “If you’re up against Kyle Rittenhouse, you think evil should triumph over good. That’s exactly what it means. If you’re saying, ‘Thank you, Lord,’ ‘Thank you, Kenosha jury,’ ‘Thank you, Kenosha Judge,’ ‘Thank you, Kyle Rittenhouse,’ because good people believe in good over evil, if you really believe that, one family – Hallelujah – is not enough.
He continued: “It’s a moment in time. It’s a powerful moment to stand up for the good and be counted, as the people are on the side of evil against Kyle Rittenhouse. They think that child molesters and rapists and goons who are out on parole should be left on the street to put our lives in danger. and according to the left CNNAccording to the protesters against Kyle Rittenhouse, we must bow down and let evil kill us. This is where the other side stands. that’s sick.
“The people who are raising their voice against self-defense against Kyle Rittenhouse are sick. It’s a bad disease, to think that good people must surrender to life-threatening evil. That’s what we see here. are.
“Tell everyone we support good over evil, Kyle Rittenhouse over evil, self-defense against evil, life-threatening forces,” he said. “Now is the time to shout loudly and proudly wherever we go.”
Donald Trump welcomed Rittenhouse to his Mar-a-Lago resort in Florida, days after the trial concluded after Nugent’s claims. The former US president said he was a “good young man” who was the victim of “prosecution misconduct”.
Tom Morello defended his unlikely friendship with Nugent in an interview earlier this year Granthshala.
The Rage Against the Machine guitarist previously told Howard Stern Show In March that while he and Nugent (who has faced constant scrutiny over his controversial right-wing views) “definitely have differences, I consider him a friend”.
talking to Granthshala Regarding their relationship, Morello said that he “reserves the right to be friends with anyone”.
“I reserve the right to confront the views I disagree with, with an open heart and love, or by throwing a brick,” he continued. “It’s up to me.
“In Ted’s case, I know he’s become this right-wing caricature, but there have been times I’ve reached out to him on issues that you might be surprised about. But he’s still the crazy Uncle Ted who is all kinds of crazy.” says bullshit.”
Morello said: “It can be important to have open conversations with people you disagree with, especially in this global community of dissent. However, sometimes it is just as important to block them.”
Meanwhile, Nugent has previously claimed that the US does not have a gun problem.
