The teenager was last seen waiting for a bus, just four miles away, before she went missing on Saturday night.

Police are questioning a 24-year-old youth on suspicion of murder.

Officials confirmed today that there is “no known connection” between the suspect and Bobby-Anne.

He also said that “important” searches have been made across the city in connection with the investigation.

Assistant Chief Constable Nikki Leiper said: “I would like to assure the public that at this time we are not looking for anyone else in this case.”

Police also confirmed that a 26-year-old man arrested on suspicion of murder has also been released without any action.

The couple was apprehended by the police after the body of a woman was found near the popular Bovisand beach in search of a teenager.

Sources close to the family earlier told that they do not know who the two suspects are.

Police are believed to be investigating whether Bobby-Anne was picked up by a stranger off the road.

Police are also trying to find out how many people were involved in his disappearance and whether there was any sexual motive.

Bobby-Anne’s brother himself expressed his suspicions that he had been kidnapped, while desperately appealing for information.

He previously said: “Someone has my f***ing sister”.

The exciting details of Bobby-Anne’s final journey came to light yesterday as she left home at 6 p.m. to meet her boyfriend, Louis Leach.

The teenager was last seen 15 minutes later at a nearby bus stop – her headphones and a bag of tobacco were later found on the grass nearby.

After failing to meet her boyfriend of six months, she sounded the alarm.

His mother, Adele, explained: “She was about to visit him at the time.

“Louis was at home, he was waiting for her.”

He is now reportedly being comforted by Bobby-Anne’s broken family and is said to have been “crushed” by the tragedy.

Tributes have poured in for the teenager, led by his brother Lee.

He shared a touching childhood picture of the two of them in their primary school uniforms smiling at the camera.

Lee wrote: “Until we meet again sister. I love you.”

“You didn’t deserve it, such a beautiful and talented girl, and to have you as my little sister, the adventure and journey we had will always be treasured. Now go easy.”

The police launched a massive search after the teenager was seen missing and a stringent search of fingerprints was carried out on the meadow over the past three days.

Officers were also stationed at the entrance to the underpass, where Bobby-Anne reached the bus stop before disappearing.

Despite their efforts, the police yesterday confirmed that the body of a woman was found near Bovisand Beach last night.

A road leading to the popular beach, nestled under the rocks, is now closed.

Formal identification is yet to be made but Bobby-Anne’s family has been informed of the development and is being supported by investigators.

Chief Superintendent Matt Longman said: “It’s taking a toll on the people of Plymouth tonight, it really is.

“And I’d like to send my thoughts to Bobby-Anne’s friends and family; it really seems like a relatively inadequate thing to say at such a time.”
