Angry Strictly Come Dancing fans took to Twitter on Saturday night to criticize the judges for ‘undermarking’ AJ Odudu’s routine.

The presenter, 33, and her professional partner Kai Widdington, 26, danced a duet’s Choice to Make Me Feel by Janelle Monáe, placing her second on the leaderboard with a score of 36.

However fans resented with stand-in judge Scythia Erivo, Motsi Mabuse’s replacement for the weekend, after awarding Dan Walker a higher score than AJ.

Despite Cynthia being giddy: ‘I have a special place in my heart for AJ. I love you so much, I thought it was great,’ fans slammed Dan over his decision to give him nine for his Rumba, while only giving AJ eight points.

‘He was 40!!! Cynthia, I love you but an 8, an eight, when did you give Dan a 9?? A disappointed viewer wrote on the microblogging site.

Another aggrieved fan wrote: ‘They are actually marking AJ and Dan on different criteria.’ Another disgruntled tweet read: ‘Stop undermarking AJ and Kai stop it.’

Last week, AJ and Kai continued to fuel romance rumors as they sparked a kiss during their romantic waltz. Before their dance, Kai teases that he wants to kiss AJ because he encouraged her to get into character as Maria and Captain von Trapp.

On Friday, the pair took their rumored relationship to the next level by visiting AJ’s native Blackburn and going to a football stadium together, where his mother, Florence, posed for a picture with them.

On Saturday, Dan and his partner Nadia Bychkova received a score of 31 for their Rumba, after which the judges were stunned by their hip-thrusting actions.
