Former England international David Lloyd praised Jofra Archer for his performance on the third day of the Chennai Test, saying that it is the best that he has seen a 25-year-old bowler in Test cricket.
Jofra Archer provided Rohit Sharma’s early success and troubled the Indian batsman in his opening round. The fast bowler also finished the day with a 2–52 figure of Shubman Gill.
The England seamer seemingly took extra bounce off the Chennai track. Writing in his column for the Daily Mail, David Lloyd praised the England seamer:

Given how Rohit Sharma can dominate the spinners, it was mandatory for the English bowlers to dismiss him early. Jofra Archer dismissed the Indian opener with a single ball.

This is the first time Jofra Archer is playing Test cricket under the circumstances of the subcontinent. However, he has shown the possibility of bowling in the Chennai Test and the ease of bowling.
Archer took 38 Test wickets at an average of 31.1 before the Chennai Test. He He already has three five wickets to his name, two against Australia and one against South Africa.
