Former England international David Lloyd praised Jofra Archer for his performance on the third day of the Chennai Test, saying that it is the best that he has seen a 25-year-old bowler in Test cricket.
Jofra Archer provided Rohit Sharma’s early success and troubled the Indian batsman in his opening round. The fast bowler also finished the day with a 2–52 figure of Shubman Gill.
The England seamer seemingly took extra bounce off the Chennai track. Writing in his column for the Daily Mail, David Lloyd praised the England seamer:
