Chase’s Bradley Walsh is forced to scold Jenny ‘The Vixen’ Ryan after taking an ‘unnecessary’ swipe at a contestant.
The host was not impressed by the quizmaster’s cunning on law student Alex as he tried to collect money for the final chase.
Despite answering some quick questions incorrectly on Wednesday’s episode, Alex managed to collect £4,000 in the Cash Builder round.
When Jenny stepped out to take on her challenge, she sat down and looked at Alex.
And before Bradley could even begin the series of questions, Jenny said: “Hello Alex, Legal Eagle.”
“Hello, thanks, Jenny,” replied a meek Alex.
Jenny replied: “It’s a good deed that you like hitchhikers – you’re going to save some Bob who takes you home after the show.”
Taking things further, Bradley commented: “Put some money on the table, £4,000.”
Earlier he said: “It was unnecessary that – he will stay, have no fear.”
Proved to be true to his belief, Alex banked his £4,000 before rejoining his team.
During the final chase, Alex, former ’80s popstar Ron and retired market trader Barbara took on Jenny, playing for a total of £12,000.
Working together they defeated Chaser and took home £4,000 each.
Chase airs weekdays at 5 p.m. on ITV.
