Crown bosses are reportedly struggling to find a boy to play a young Prince Harry because of a paucity of ginger-haired actors.
Prince Harry is set to appear in the fifth series of the hit Netflix show and will be featured as ages 6 to 13, covering the years from 1990 to 1997.
According to Sun, The Boss is considering dyeing a child artist’s hair red so that it adequately matches the Duke of Sussex.

A source told the publication: ‘The owners have incredibly high standards when it comes to hiring actors.
“So any wannabe cast member has to tick a long line of boxes already. But with the role of young Harry he wanted to tick another important box.
‘It has proven to be incredibly difficult, but they are determined to pick the right actor and are considering taking the necessary steps to get them to play the role.’
Harry was previously played by Aron Tinker in the fourth series but only briefly.

Harry’s parents Princess Diana and Prince Charles were portrayed by Emma Corinne and Josh O’Connor in series four, respectively.
Crown is set to begin filming its highly anticipated fifth series in July.
According to Variety, the crew is already starting to return to Elstree Studios before the all-new cast arrives to shoot scenes for the hit Netflix drama.

A source said: ‘They are determined to cast the right actor and are considering taking any steps necessary to get them to play the role’ (portrayed in Harry and Princess Diana 1988)
Elizabeth Debicki will play the Princess of Wales in the fifth series, while Charles will reportedly be played by Dominic West.
Leslie Manville, 64, is set to star as Princess Margaret, previously played by Helena Bonham Carter. Jonathan Price, 73, will play the role of Prince Philip.
Filming on Series 5 will involve adhering to strict COVID regulations, although the UK is already hoping to ease restrictions over the summer with some of the measures being changed.
The final two series of The Crown will cover the history of the royal family in 1990 and 2003, although it is not yet known which moments will be seen.

There are several poignant moments that could be used, including the Queen’s speech in 1992 on the 40th anniversary of her accession, in which she called the year ‘enus horriblis’.
She was talking about the breakdown of the marriage of her three children; Prince Andrew, Princess Anne and Prince Charles’ divorce from Princess Diana.
Other notable events during the time period included the fire at Windsor Castle, their golden wedding anniversary in 1997, and the death of Princess Margaret, the Queen Mother and Princess of Wales.
