The Wombats have shared their latest single ‘Ready for the High’ ahead of the release of their upcoming album ‘Fix Yourself, Not the World’.

The track, which you can listen to below, is the third to be picked up from the upcoming record after recent singles ‘If You Ever Leave, I’m Coming With You’ and ‘Method to the Madness’.
Frontman Matthew ‘Murph’ Murphy said, “‘Ready for the High’ is a ’90s-inspired track that I was excited to play trumpet loads on.” “The song is about dissolving in a bad place, but instead of accepting it as irreversible, acknowledging that it’s only temporary and better times are closer than they (currently) appear.”
The band’s fifth album, formed by Liverpool, arrives on January 7, 2022 via AWAL.
The band also added two new shows to their upcoming arena tour in April 2022.
They will play additional dates at the Barrowland Ballroom in Glasgow on 19 April and Liverpool’s Mountford Hall on 21 April.

recently speaking Granthshala Regarding his upcoming album, Murph said: “With our fourth album, I put a lot of pressure on him and I knew I had to do something really cool, and so it was important for me to make this album just to focus on that energy. It was for what was given to us from the fourth album and just move it a few more years. And if it’s better than that, so be it – and it really could be.”
