The PRO does not need to tell whether he has been vaccinated to the BBC’s owners, as this is a private medical practice.
James, 43, gave his opinion on the situation, saying: ‘I would usually guard professional dancers until the cows come home, but on this special occasion I unfortunately can’t.
“I definitely believe that they don’t deserve their right on the show and that celebrities have every right to refuse to dance with them.”

‘I think it’s a really, really selfish thing. And also, what you have to remember, over the years on Strictly, your immune system goes down, so a lot of people get sick anyway. This was long before the coronavirus.

‘It goes back to the BBC – have they done those checks before they put those professionals on the show.
‘You don’t hire someone, take them to the UK from another country, give them a contract but then ask if they have been double vaccinated and if you are not you are not allowed on the show.
‘BBC should have done its work before the actual shoot, while hiring those dancers.’
