Apple has revealed the iPhone 13.

From the front, the new handset looks mostly the same as its predecessor, the iPhone 12, with flat edges on the outside. But it looks a little different at the back, where the cameras have been rearranged to be diagonal.

And on the front, the “notch” cut off at the top of the display is 20 percent smaller, Apple said. To do this re-engineering the sensors in the top allowed them to take up less space.

Display has also been improved, Apple said, to be 28 percent brighter when outside.

The phone also comes in multiple colors, including a new pink one.

On the inside, the iPhone has been “completely re-architected,” Apple said. This has allowed it to make way for new features and it also has a bigger battery.

Apple said the battery should last 1.5 hours on the mini and 2.5 hours on the larger iPhone 13. Apple said that this is not only the result of bigger batter but changes like better processor.

Apple said it is powered by the “A15 Bionic” chip. Apple claimed it to be “the fastest CPU in any smartphone”, although it compared its performance with the current processor in the iPhone 12 rather than its “leading competitor”.

Apple said the phone also has a new camera system that includes improved performance in low light.

For video, Apple is introducing a new feature called “Cinematic Mode,” which will allow the focus to change quickly and dynamically, similar to what Apple suggested will miss Hollywood movies. This automatically allows the device to produce “cinema-grade video” using artificial intelligence.

The normal, non-Pro version of the iPhone 13 will come in the same size as the iPhone 12 – a mid-sized model and a “mini”.

Like the iPhone 12, the 13 has 5G. But it has more antenna bands, which allows it to work more quickly and in more locations, Apple said.
