Police said the alleged gunman, a 15-year-old student at the school, was taken into custody within five minutes of the call.
A semi-automatic pistol was recovered from the spot.
“We received more than 100 911 calls for our dispatch,” Oakland County Undersheriff Michael McCabe said at a briefing at the scene.

“Representatives took a suspect into custody within five minutes of the original 911 call,” McCabe said. “They recovered a pistol from the suspect. The accused fired several rounds. There are many victims. ,
“It is unfortunate that I have to report that right now we have three deceased victims who are believed to be students,” he said. “We have six others who were shot. One was a school teacher.”
McCabe said the accused gunman asked for a lawyer and declined to be questioned by investigators.
According to an “active emergency” alert sent to parents, the school was put on lockdown.
