Three men injured in London shootings

Three people were shot after an incident in east London.

Police were called to a report of a shooting at Upton Lane in Newham just before 7 p.m. Friday.

Metropolitan Police officers and paramedics from the London Ambulance Service found three people with gunshot wounds, while one of the victims also had stab wounds.


The Met said the incident is not being treated as terrorism, and remains a crime scene.

Three people were taken to an east London hospital, where one of them is in critical condition, while two others have been assessed as having non-life-threatening injuries.

A London Ambulance Service spokesperson said London Air Ambulance was dispatched to the scene with three ambulance crew, three medics from their joint response unit and an advanced paramedic.

The London Ambulance Service said all people were treated at a major trauma centre.

No arrest has been made after the incident. The Weather Police has said that Section 60 has been cleared for the entire borough of Newham as of 3 p.m. Saturday, giving police more stopping and search power.

The weather has asked any witnesses to please call 101 citing CAD 6941/08 October.
