TikTok reveals huge amounts of food thrown out by Whole Foods

A popular TokTokker claim that it has exposed wasteful food dumping practices at Whole Foods.

Dumpster Diving Freegan, who ran the account, said he found about 100 loaves of loaves thrown from a single Whole Foods store in one night that hadn’t expired.

“Everything I found was at least two days past its best buy date and could easily be donated, frozen, or given to people who needed it,” she says in a voiceover, Displays disposed food items.

It is unclear where the Whole Foods store was located in the United States.

TikTok says she found olive oil, baby food, and even toilet paper thrown out, and says she was able to salvage most of the items and donate them to a food bank .

She said she was ready to investigate Whole Foods after another TikToker, who runs the DecepticonMunist account, posted about throwing away huge amounts of food while working at the retailer.
