Here’s something you might not have seen during the BBC’s coverage of the Olympics this summer – although Tom Daly fans may be battling for the outtake.
The diver has confessed that he accidentally shows his buttocks to the camera on a regular basis when shot with his short trunk after a high-speed dive.
Tom, who won gold at the Games in Tokyo in July, told the Table Manners podcast: “Basically the tights only need a drawstring so they don’t fall off first.
“At 35mph they’ll descend, and if you don’t tie them up, they’re down, below your ankles.
“In a competition, yes, my bum is on the big screen.
“But it’s one of those things that happens and they don’t show it on replays, but still.”
