Jake Paul is ready to pay Tommy Fury ‘out of his own pocket’ and urges the Love Islander to ‘take the opportunity’.

Fury already admitted that he declined two fight offers and told the YouTuber to ‘raise your stats and then we can talk’.

This was also when Paul raised the price for the pay-per-view headliner to $1 million in eight rounds in December.

And the social media sensation, 4-0 as a boxer, was putting his money in the deal to get Fury into the ring.

Nakisa Bidarian, Paul’s advisor and founder of talent firm BAVAFA Sports, said the additional online offerings were taken off the cuff.

He warns Fury to accept it and reveals that the deal includes additional bonuses based on pay-per-view success.

Biderian told SunSport, “Even what Jake said yesterday was not agreed upon between us and Showtime.

“That Jake was telling me yesterday, ‘I’m going to come out of my pocket and raise this, because I want to try and get it done’.

“The offer is of course a base wallet, as well as a pay-per-view partnership in the UK, which is exactly the market in which it has any relevance.

“And pay-per-view participation in America. So, the upside is if the fight performs.”

Fury, 22, signed a two-fight deal with the network Showtime and made his US debut in late August, defeating Paul’s partner, 32-year-old Anthony Taylor.

Later that night, 24-year-old Paul scored the biggest victory of his career in a distance of eight rounds against former UFC champion Tyron Woodley, 39.

The two offers were then turned down by Fury, who believed they were ‘not even worth talking about’.

This prompted Paul’s public offering to raise $1m off his back as his management prepared to move on to other goals.

“That Jake was telling me yesterday, ‘I’m going to come out of my pocket and raise this, because I want to try and get it done’.

Bidarian added: “What we said yesterday, let’s just put the pencil down with Tommy and focus on the three or four other opponents we’re talking to.

“But Jake said, ‘This is the fight I want to do now, but I understand the timing, so here’s what I’m willing to do’.

“I said, ‘Listen, it’s your call, we haven’t spoken to Stephen Espinoza or Showtime, but if that’s what you want to do, it’s your decision, it’s your money.

“But that’s the premise of it, and I want to be clear; there are additional upsides to it especially in the UK which is the market you would expect Tommy’s to be very successful at driving pay-per-view.”

Paul’s deal was also not approved by Showtime or their sports president Espinoza as Bidrian warned it would be his third and final attempt.

He added: “There’s no offer beyond that, I wouldn’t recommend Jake go above that, the numbers don’t make sense.”

‘take the opportunity’

Woodley was guaranteed $2 million against Paul and cut PPV sales, meaning his purse could skyrocket.

But Biderian – a former executive in the UFC – doesn’t judge Fury on the same value as Woodley.

And he fears the former reality TV star could lock himself out of a career-best payday.

Biderian said: “The reality is, Tommy is nowhere near Drew, the four-time UFC champion who is one of the greatest welterweights of all time, bringing the entire MMA community with him.

“So while we respect the Fury family and we love working with Frank and George Warren, you have to be realistic and take the opportunity while you’re there.

“One of the biggest mistakes promoters and fighters make is that they don’t fight when they should and that’s as fast as possible, when the time is right.”
