Chelsea and Tottenham Hotspur are actually a lot more than many people realize.

Both teams once topped the Premier League after scoring an impressive run. However, two London clubs are currently in the running for UEFA Champions League qualification after a series of heavy results.

Frank Lampard had already been sacked due to Chelsea’s poor form, with Thomas Tuchel replacing him with a rudder.

The Spurs, however, are still banking their hopes on a serial winner like Jose Mourinho, although the recent results are not encouraging.

As Tottenham Hotspur prepares to face Chelsea on Thursday, it will be a game with a lot at stake.

The Blues are yet to lose under Tuchel, and the German will be on to win their second straight Premier League game.

Meanwhile, Mourinho is in dire need of a win over Liverpool and Brighton following back-to-back defeats to Spurs.

Chelsea and Tottenham Hotspur battling for a place in the top four

More than anything, Thursday’s Premier League game will be a straightforward battle for a place in the top-four in the Premier League. Although the league title may currently be out of reach for Chelsea and Tottenham Hotspur, Champions League qualification is highly attainable for both.

The Spurs currently occupy seventh place in the league table, while the Blues sit eighth, with both teams having the same points, although one game in the East.

Both teams are currently trailing fourth-placed Liverpool by seven points, and a win would go a long way to increase their chances of qualifying for the Champions League.

The 2020-21 Premier League is set to go down as one of the most contested seasons, and such games will prove crucial when teams come into position at the end of the season.

Jose Mourinho and Thomas Tuchel get drunk after drinking

The Mind game is already in full swing ahead of Thursday’s London derby. As expected, Jose Mourinho pressured Thomas Tuchel, saying that Chelsea are not difficult to handle.

Spurs boss said, as stated by Laksh:

“I don’t think it’s very difficult to coach at Chelsea because I was a three-time champion, [Carlo] Anselotti was the champion, Antonio Conte was the champion. Who else It cannot be very, very difficult because we win the title there. “

“I believe Chelsea always have great players and great squads and good coaches are happy to work with these clubs and have players that give you a very good chance of winning the title.”

In response, Tuchel indulges Mourinho, and insists that she feels comfortable handling Chelsea. In what appeared to be some sarcastic reply, German stated that the Spurs manager is correct.

The former PSG boss was quoted as saying:

“Jose’s right, it’s a big difference. It doesn’t matter what is better or what is worse if it fits and right now it fits me perfectly. I feel absolutely comfortable. ”

It is too early to figure out how the rivalry between Tuchel and Mourinho will end, but the London derby is always an occasion that arouses emotions.

Three key points and an opportunity to improve their chances of a top-four finish are at stake. Let’s see who wants it more.
