Trump says network aims to ‘give everyone a voice’ and ‘fight against big tech’
Former President Donald Trump on Wednesday announced the upcoming “Truth Social,” a social media network that aims to “stand up to the tyranny of Big Tech.”
The app, which will begin beta launch for invited guests in November 2021, is expected to make its full debut within the first quarter of 2022 and is a part of the newly established Trump Media & Technology Group (TMTG).
Trump, who will serve as TMTG’s chairman, issued a statement announcing the platform’s planned arrival, stressing that the effort would push back against platforms that are leaning to the left and that it would “enlight everyone.” will sound.”
“I created Truth Social and TMTG to stand up to the tyranny of Big Tech,” Trump said. “We live in a world where the Taliban have a huge Twitter presence, yet your favorite US president has been silenced. This is unacceptable.”
“I’m excited to send my first truth to Truth Social very soon,” Trump said. “TMTG was founded with the mission of giving a voice to all.
