Tyson Fury’s vid message to family of 4 fans killed on way to watch him fight

Tyson Fury has paid tribute to four fans from the same family who were killed in a car accident to watch his heavyweight title fight with Deontay Wilder.

Johnny Cash, 44, his son John Boy Cash, 19, and two nephews Miles Anthony Cash, 25, and Jaco Cosgrove, 18, were killed in the horror smash on October 10.

Mr Cash’s 15-year-old son continues to be treated in hospital for a serious head injury after an accident in a remote country street in Headcorn, Kent.

They were on their way to see ‘Gypsy King’ Fury’s showdown when the car crashed before 1 pm.

The boxing champion sent a video message on Instagram to the bereaved family of the men.

Fury said: “I want to send my condolences and peace to the Cash family and the Cosgrove family on their recent loss.

‘God bless them’

“God bless them. Make them a good bed in heaven. In the mighty name of Jesus. Amen.”

The investigation into the men’s deaths is due to begin on October 26.

Following the deaths, family members and friends paid heartfelt tributes to the men who were believed to have been part of the nearby traveler community.

A devastated relative at the crash site said: “We are broken and we will never recover from his passing.

“He was a lovely, lovely man and we will miss him everyday.”

Another mourner praised John Cash as “a hard worker who doesn’t have a bone in his body”.

He said: “It was a big shock for all of us. John Boy was having a six-week-old baby. Jaco just learned that his wife had a small child as well.

“I found out about an hour after it happened. I couldn’t stop crying. I thought it was a nightmare.”

John Boy Cash and Jaco both boxed at a local amateur boxing club when they were young.

A family friend told Granthshala Online: “It’s sad. They were lovely children. full of life. Only boys want to be boys.

“They were respectable kids.”

British boxing ace Dennis McCann paid tribute to John Boy Cash in a touching Instagram post.

Kent Police’s Serious Collision Investigation Unit (SCIU) is investigating the accident and officers are appealing for contact with any witnesses.
