New York – Police have released a video of a man wanted for attacking and then stabbing a Manhattan Apple Store security guard to try to enforce the mask requirement.
According to the NYPD, it happened around 6:30 p.m. Friday at the West 14 Street Apple Store in Chelsea.
The man beat up the guard and then left the shop. But police said he returned quickly and punched a 25-year-old woman working at the shop in the face.
Then he turned his attention to the guard he had killed the first time. There was an altercation between the two and the attacker took out a knife and hit the guard on the forehead. Then he hit her three times in the left hand and back.
The violent incident happened in front of shocked customers.

The 37-year-old security guard at NYC Health + Hospitals Bellevue was in critical but stable condition after the attack. The woman employee had only pain and swelling on her face.
Mason said police responded to a 911 call to find that the guard had been injured in his encounter with a man wearing a red sweatshirt, blue jeans and black sneakers.
The guard said that after a dispute over wearing a mask inside the shop, he was stabbed once in the left hand and once in the forehead.
The suspect then took off at the 8th Avenue metro station, police said.
